Climate and resilience advisory
We work with clients to understand climate risk (physical, transition, liability), and build adaptive capacity that underpins resilience and opportunities to create value.
Climate and natural disaster risk assessment
NCC has extensive climate and disaster risk assessment experience. We have delivered climate risk assessments for multiple LGAs and water utilities, and our experience spans all risk types, including heat, drought, fire, flood, sea level rise and storms. We take a participatory approach in presenting plausible climate futures to clients to collaboratively determine risk based on the hazard, vulnerability and exposure of natural and built assets, the provision of services, and community health and values.
Climate adaptation planning and governance
Our core offering is our ability to consolidate technical information across physical and social sciences to develop robust policy, strategy and decision-making advice and recommendations to address climate risks and advance resilience for assets and communities. We work with organisations to assess their capacity, capability and governance processes and how the organisation could be positioned to take more proactive climate action, identify relevant climate hazards and develop adaptation responses to address the potential impact of these hazards.
Transition strategies
We understand the financial, societal and reputational risks, such as energy reliability, perceived greenwashing, stranded assets and supply chain constraints, associated with the transition to a net zero future for governmments and organisations. With our broad experience across technical, economic, financial and social science fields, we help clients to navigate and understand these risks while playing their part in climate mitigation and decarbonisation.
Climate-related risk disclosure
Alluvium is keeping pace with the emerging mandatory requirement for organisations to report on their climate-related risk. We bring a deep understanding of business sustainability and the development of net zero and decarbonisation pathways from the perspective of the executive and board. We apply our governance, finance, technical and stakeholder experience to work with clients to prepare for a net zero and mandatory risk-disclosure future.
Industry leadership
Our industry leaders are known for their deep expertise and knowledge in their field. They bring a thorough understanding of industry trends, technologies and best practices.
